Badlands National Park

Badlands National Park offers a nightly astronomy program in their outdoor amphitheater beginning Memorial Day weekend and continuing through Labor Day.

The largest astronomy event in South Dakota occurs at Badlands National Park. In 2024 AstroFest will be held July 5-7.

Black Hills Astronomical Society

The Black Hills Astronomical Society is an astronomy club that hosts star parties for members and the general public. Public star parties are held at least one night per month in the summer. Club members may also be available to come to your location for a fee.
